Every Ankara Holland dress is cut from original Vlisco fabric to your own measurements in our atelier in Lagos. After you order, we contact you within one business day to book a 15-minute Fit Session by video call (Google Meet or Zoom). We record ten measurements and your preferences on a Fit Sheet and send it to you, together with a short clip of your fabric. Production starts the moment you confirm the Fit Sheet.

The atelier needs 3–5 business days; you receive a photo of your dress before it leaves; DHL Express delivers in 3–5 business days. Most dresses arrive within 14 days of confirmation, and the product page shows your expected date. We keep your Fit Sheet so that future orders need no new session; you can ask us to update or delete it at any time.

You can cancel free of charge at any time before you confirm your Fit Sheet — reply to your order email or message us on WhatsApp, and we refund the full amount to your original payment method within 14 days. Once the Fit Sheet is confirmed and your fabric is cut, the order can no longer be cancelled or changed; the Fit Guarantee below applies instead. If we have not been able to complete your Fit Session within 60 days of your order despite our reminders, we cancel the order and refund you in full.

We measure before we cut, so a dress that does not fit is rare. When it happens, this is what we do:

Local alteration, on us. If a hem, sleeve, waist or bust needs a small adjustment, take the dress to any tailor near you and send us a photo of the receipt on WhatsApp. We refund the bill up to €50 (UK: £45) within 5 days. Valid for six months after delivery, on every order, for fit adjustments only.

Free remake. If a local tailor cannot put it right, we remake the dress to corrected measurements, free of charge, with free shipping both ways. Tell us within 30 days of delivery with a few photos; we send a prepaid label and the original comes back to us unworn and unaltered. Same design and fabric; one remake per dress.

Money-back on your first order. If your first Ankara Holland dress is not what you hoped for — for any reason — send it back within 14 days of delivery, unworn, with tags attached and in its box, and we refund the full price to your original payment method within 14 days of receiving it. EU and UK customers receive a prepaid return label; the return address is in Rotterdam. Once your measurements have proven themselves, later orders are covered by the alteration credit and the free remake.

The Fit Guarantee is our promise on top of your legal rights; it never limits them.

We ship by DHL Express with tracking, from Lagos or from our address in the Netherlands.

• European Union and United Kingdom: free delivery. The price includes VAT and all import duties; there is nothing to pay on delivery.
• Nigeria: free delivery, 3–5 business days.
• Rest of the world: €35, free above €500. Import duties and taxes of your country are not included and may be collected by the carrier.

If your dress arrives damaged, faulty or not as ordered, we repair, remake or refund it at our cost, including all shipping and duties. Please tell us as soon as you can, ideally within 48 hours of delivery and with photos, so we can act quickly — this is a request, not a condition of your rights.

Nothing on this page limits your rights as a consumer. In the Netherlands you may report a defect within two months of discovering it; in the United Kingdom you have a 30-day right to reject faulty goods. Because your dress is made to your specifications, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance sales does not apply (art. 6:230p BW; Directive 2011/83/EU art. 16(c); UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 reg. 28(1)(b)); our free cancellation before production and the Fit Guarantee take its place.
